Horse Show Rules and Information WARNING
Negative Coggins test within 12 months required. Casual attire. Polo shirts and breeches/jod pants and boots for English. Button down shirt and jeans and boots for western. (Jackets and/or sweaters are optional. Dress warm for the weather!) A.S.T.M. approved helmets are required for all riders 17 years and under. HORSES IN PARADISE 4-H CLUB or anyone connected to this show, WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for accidents to/or caused by you, your horse, or riders.

General Show Rules
1. The judge’s word is final. He or she shall enforce all of the following rules and regulations that apply to the classes and progress of the show. Judge to be at arena for all events and shall call infraction of the rules that he or she sees. No complaints directly to the judge. 2. Appropriate tack and Casual attire required. English classes to be show in Polo and breeches/ jod pants and boots. Western classes to be shown in button down shirt, jeans and boots No ball caps, tennis shoes, tank tops or T-Shirts allowed. See specific class rules. 3. There will be a disqualification for the use of inhumane equipment or treatment. 4. Any person may be banned from show grounds for improper conduct. 5. Horses must be under control at all times. Horses deemed to be dangerous to the rider or others will be excused. 6. No alcoholic beverages allowed at the show. 7. Riders will stop their horses immediately if a rider is down in the arena for any reason. 8. Children must be under adult supervision at all times. 9. Person’s age as of January 1 determines class eligibility. 10. No youth are allowed to show a stallion. 11. No running or trotting horses outside of arena, except in warm-up arena. 12. Pets must be leashed at all times. 13. Yearlings and weanlings can only be shown by and exhibitor 16 years and over. 14. A.S.T.M. approved Helmets are required for all riders 17 years and younger. 15. Only 5 places will be awarded per class and no ties. 16. Only horses 5 years and under are allowed to be shown in a ring snaffle or bosal in western classes, English horses are exempt. See rules above for qualifications for Open Bitless class.
General riding etiquette should be observed at all times.
